I am so sick of teething already, and there are NO TEETH yet... UGH.

I have been so busy with work, trying to help Arlo's tears go away, school, craft projects, and personal problems>> i haven't been able to try out any new teething methods! so far it's just been Hyland's teething tablets/gel( Teething Gel - 0.5 oz (14.7 ml) (Google Affiliate Ad) )and cold things. popsicles, frozen rubber duckies, teething rings, and any other toy we can toss in the freezer... it helps, but I need some suggestions for other things. Natural Mamas, HELP!!!

Autumn/Winter Wish List

I know, I know... wishful thinking, right? The weather here in lovely Colorado has been getting NICE and chilly at night time <3

Short, Sandy Uggs! When Uggs first became popular, I really thought they were dumb. Mostly because girls would wear them with sweatpants. It's the ultimate White Girl outfit, teehee. Anyway, it's friggin COLD in Colorado during the winter. The evening I gave birth to Arlo, it was -7 degrees out!!! The wind is what gets you, though. What I'm trying to say is that my toes almost fell off last year, and i'd like to protect them. I'm also justifying this purchase-to-be because I am going to buy them used. Maybe not TOO used, but used enough to not look brand new :3

things are going well...
working from home is starting to pay off, and i'm happy. i'm so blessed and in SUCH good spirits that i get to work AND spend time with my son. <3

Adventures: Menstruation After Childbirth: Sea Pearl Tampons

Just so you know, I'm only going to continue my review of reusable menstruation products for the sake of having something to write about, BECAUSE THESE ARE THE MOST FANTASTIC TAMPONS I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LIFE!!!!


Sea Pearl Sea Sponge Tampons:


little sea sponges that you trim to fit your shape, and use over and over again! (Well, they suggest for about 6 months.)

My first thought: WOW this feels weird. and hard. why would i want to just put this up there?
After I washed it and squeezed all the water out: this is the most amazing thing i have ever seen in my life. (yes. just like Butthead)


Basically, you use this like a Diva Cup, except for there isn't a cup! A pack comes with two, so you can take a little zip lock or mini wet bag in your purse to switch them out. Doing this in public would be preeeettttyyy strange, but if you're going to do it, do it big, right? haha. If you're at home all the time like I am, you just take it out every couple of hours, rinse it out, et voila! It's ready for another couple of hours.

PRICE: I paid around $20 for two sponges that last 6 months apiece. That's a year's worth of usage if I use one for a continuous 6 months. That's $1.67 a month for a COMPLETELY NATURAL, NO CHEMICALS, NO FEAR OF MOLD IN YOUR TAMPON TAMPON! SO AMAZING!!!!!!

COVERAGE: absolutely no leaks for me, but they do suggest using a panty liner just in case. I had some biodegradable ones on hand, but I know that companies like Luna Pad make panty liners for this kind of thing

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: these sea sponges are sustainably harvested, and they will eventually degrade into the earth leaving NOTHING behind!!!!!!!!!!!

OVERALL RATING: 5 STARS MOST DEFINITELY! I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!!!! I highly recommend anyone who has a period to get a pair of these bad girls QUICK! they are so amazing, soft, and I literally forgot that I was wearing one when I had it in. so comfy and amazing.

Sometimes You Need To Remind Yourself That You Are Awesome

When the going gets tough, and it will, the tough get GOING!

I have every intention of doing so.

A few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to do something for MYSELF for once. Being a mother is the most amazing and positive thing that's ever happened to me, but sometimes I don't even have enough "me" time to take a shower. I decided to become an It Works! Distributor for very many reasons:
I believe in the product
It's something that helps bring positivity to the CUSTOMER AND THE DISTRIBUTOR
I love that they provide herbal supplements
I can work mostly from home
and most fantastically-
It's a seriously great way to get in touch with people. Communication with the outside world is something that stay at home moms CRAVE! I love people so much, and I yearn to hear their stories//to help heal any wound that I can. I've always had a huge passion for healing, and I feel that this can help me on my quest.

I don't feel like I need to be a pushy salesperson (like I have had to do in EVERY SINGLE JOB I'VE EVER HAD) with It Works!. I really feel it's a very valuable asset to my life (which is funny, because I only had to pay $99 to start).
Something I have experienced a LOT of, however, is people bringing me down. "Haters", if you will. People think I'm locked into some kind of scamming downward spiral into Hades where I'll be selling useless nonsense to people who will never want or need it. Completely the opposite. I see results from the work that I perform. I don't work long hours with little monetary results. If I work hard, it will pay off immensely.

Anyway- I hope this didn't sound like a sales pitch. I just really needed to express this to the interweb. I am not a sales robot, and I never will be :)

dream

sometimes, a day seems so incredibly long. especially in the summer. on these days specifically, i think about my dreams. I used to write in a dream journal, until i got pregnant. ever since then, my dreams have either taken a scary turn (i stopped writing those down), or i just cannot recall them once i wake up. however, I'd like to start it back up again. It's so funny to go through my dream journal, because it can inspire me. I used to paint a lot, and a few paintings have sprouted up from the seeds of my dreams. dreams are important, and they can speak to you in a very meaningful, and deep way. dreams can tell you things about yourself that you never knew. think about how delightful it is- that feeling just before you fall asleep.

dream away all despair- for in dreams, anything is possible
